Orange Is The New Black

Orange knitwear is so big this season! Everyone at work has been wearing orange jumpers which is why I'm using mine to show you how I take my midi dress from casual day wear to after work drinks.

Midi dresses are great for Autumn as they are long enough that they won't get blown up in the wind, which is one reason why I never wear short skirts! For my day look I've teamed my amazing orange jumper with my dress, boots and a fab clutch from Primark! My thing at the moment is clutches for casual wear. There are so many nice ones out there that it seems a shame to restrict them to a night out. They can also take your look from boring to chic instantly! 

For the evening look I've simply removed the jumper! I know that doesn't seem adventurous enough but let's be realistic... it's so much effort to bring in a change of shoes and accessories into work every time you go out! Also, it just goes to show that removing one item of clothing can rework a whole outfit. I'd team the evening look with a leather jacket and loads of eyeliner.

The Autumn Tag

Last week fellow blogger and fashion apprentice Samara asked me to complete the Autumn Tag. I thought it would be a great way for you guys to get to know me a bit better, so here goes...

1. Coffees - What's your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks or another coffee shop?
I hate coffee! I'm not grown up enough for that yet haha. I always drink green tea at home and work, but out with friends I might stretch to a hot chocolate! 

2. Accessories - What do you opt for, scarf, boots or gloves?
I love to layer up with cardigans and scarves so that I can still kept warm whilst wearing lighter jackets. Sometimes it's hard to know what to walk out of the house in when it's not yet completely freezing.

3. Music - What's your favourite music to listen to during Autumn?
I listen to absolutely all types of music. I'm one of those girls that can walk into any club and start dancing straight away. I recently went to see the film "Northern Soul" at the cinema and was so inspired by the music culture in it. I think Northern Soul is going to be my next obsession.

4. Perfume - What's your favourite scent for this time of year?
For years I have been wearing "Lady Million" by Paco Rabanne, however it was my 20th birthday last week and I received "Si" by Giorgio Armani as a gift. It's my new favourite. 

5. Candles - What scents will you be burning this season?
Bad smells actually affect my mood and make me anxious so as long as there's a nice smell in the air I'm all good.

6. What do you love most about Autumn?
My birthday, Halloween and midi dresses without tights.

7. Favourite makeup look?
Smokey eyes and nude lips or natural eyes and bright lips.

8. What are you looking forward to most in Autumn?
Parties, feeling cosy and better fashion!

Statement Clutch

How amazing is this clutch?! The beading is beautiful and makes it feel so much more luxurious and expensive than it actually was. With all the colours the clutch has it means it will be able to go with almost any outfit for a meal or night out with friends. I also love this midi dress and the fact that it is so versatile! Here I have styled it for a night out with heels and a statement clutch, however I also wear this dress casually for work by styling it with black heeled sandals and a cardigan or leather jacket if its cold out (which it almost certainly always is now it's October!). The dress is made from a lovely heavy fabric which means it fits really well and drapes beautifully. I haven't put any jewellery with the outfit as, although the dress is plain, the clutch and pop of colour from the heels adds enough detail without the need for anything extra.

On Tuesday it was my 20th Birthday and it feel crazy not to be a teenager any more! I had the best time over the weekend with my boyfriend. We went to London Zoo and had dinner and drinks afterwards in Spitalfields. Then on Wednesday, 20 of us ASOS lot went Bowling in Finsbury Park which was so much fun!

Loyal and Unabashed

Following the love I received from my original NARS make-up post, the lovely ladies over at NARS NYC decided to send me a little gift to say thank you! I've been blogging for just over two months now so it's lovely to see big companies supporting bloggers and "normal" girls who are truly passionate about the products they use. I was so excited opening the package and was even more excited when it revealed this beautiful orange nail varnish and very glam but understated lip gloss! I've been wearing nail varnish non-stop for probably over two years now so I couldn't wait to paint them this lovely autumnal colour. After two coats the colour was bright and vibrant and has lasted well since I applied it on Thursday. The lip gloss feels great on and fades to a subtle shimmer over time.

On the same day as my lovely NARS goodies arrived, my friend and I took a beauty trip to MAC in Spitalfields. (This is before I knew the package had arrived, BEAUTY OVERLOAD)! That same day, I had spotted my friend wearing a gorgeous shade of lipstick from MAC called "half and half" and knew straight away I had to have it. I don't normally invest that much money into make-up, however I think it's about time that changed. Make-up is the only thing that us girls wear consistently everyday and so it only seems right that this is what we spend the most money on, especially as the products are going onto our skin! This shade of lipstick is a beautiful everyday colour that I know I will wear again and again. The shade is fairly dark which also gives off that Kylie Jenner vibe ;)

Style Update: My Bedroom

Last weekend I had the sudden instinct to redecorate my room. I still live with my parents as I don't yet have the money to move out and my room has pretty much stayed the same since I was in year 8! I wanted to give my bedroom an updated look without spending too much money and so I decided to buy smaller items that would make a big impact and still achieve the look and feel I wanted. The theme of my room is "walk in wardrobe". I work in fashion and buy so many clothes that I wanted to show them off and display them more as features rather than have them hidden away in my cupboards. I really love the end results as my room reflects my personality so much more than it did before. Buying smaller things instead of re-doing my whole room means that I can take the decorations with me when I decide to move out too!

I hope I've given you some inspiration if you were thinking about re-vamping the look of your bedroom!

Spitalfields market

One of my favourite places to go in the whole of London is Spitalfields market. Me and my mum have been going there since I was little and it's always such a cute trip. The market is a creative hub of vintage clothes, street food and art and the atmosphere is always amazing. On Saturday we ventured down there for a look around so I decided to wear this amazing midi dress from Monki with my Nike internationalists as they are so comfy and give a casual vibe to what could be an otherwise dressy outfit. I also wore my favourite vintage Levi jacket (it used to be my mum's) to add interest to the all-black dress.
